Looking back over the last year with Contact a Family

Tuesday 16th December 2014

Our Annual Review 2013/14 has now been published and is available for you to read online.

The review looks back at our work reaching out to families with disabled children in the financial year April 2013 - March 2014. Over those twelve months:

  • over 12,500 people received independent support from our freephone helpline advisers
  • 12,000 families attended our workshops on issues including bullying, coping and support and relationships
  • our press activity meant potentially 28 million people found out why Contact a Family's work is so vital
  • our website had 323,234 hits, and we produced 43,700 parent guides, leaflets and magazines.

The impact of our work is that 93% know how to get the right support after using our services.

Also in the review you'll find out our ambitions for families with disabled children, what we do to achieve them - including supporting parent carer forums and bringing people together at parent support groups - and how you can help us.
